October 27, 1944 - Got a report of an unidentified aircraft, but it later proved to be friendly. A lone Catalina flew around our convoy a few times. We are now about even with Mindanao.
This WWII Journal chronicles the life of an USNR Radioman, my grandfather-in-law, on board the LST 740. The Journal includes dates from 4/20/1944 through 5/29/1945.
