January 14, 1945 - Passed Manilla Bay last night. Morning - started through Mindoro Straits. Night - Man fell overboard. Don’t know which ship he was from or whether he was picked up or not.
This WWII Journal chronicles the life of an USNR Radioman, my grandfather-in-law, on board the LST 740. The Journal includes dates from 4/20/1944 through 5/29/1945.
